This is going to be as the title describes just a quickie blog. Really just to let you know what i have been doing over the last couple of days.
As i had mentioned in my blog on Wednesday i had been working on a new .com website which is up and running and seems to be attracting a far few visits since i published it (www.clairez-cardz.com).
As this site looked so much nicer and neater and in my opinion more presentable than the one i currently i had for my .co.uk site, i took the leap and transferred my domain name and set up the .co.uk site to run alongside the .com one, So both sites look the same (www.clairez-cardz.co.uk)
I am hoping that this will help to build the traffic to both sites and eventually lead to some sales. I hope that all the visitors to either site find it easy to navigate. If you have any comments for me then please leave them here.
Now i am going to get packed up ready for a craft fair tomorrow at The Burgh Hall, Peebles 10am - 4pm so here's hoping for a good day tomorrow.

What's New!
Well i can't remember the last time that i actually blogged but am still on planet earth i think lol.
Lots of personal issues have got in the way of me crafting and concentrating on getting my business built up but hopefully most of them are behind me now and i can start concentrating on building this business from strength to strength.
The first this i have done this week is purchase a new domain name to run alongside the one i currently have. So i have been setting out the new website and hopefully it will help to promote my business and eventually lead me to some sales. The new website is www.clairez-cardz.com. All comments whether positive or negative would be gratefully received.
As many of you crafters out there know for us its time to start thinking about our christmas stock and that is what i am planning to do over the next few weeks. I have got lots of craft fairs lined up and so will need as much stock as is possible.
I also will be listing some cards for Grandparents day which is in September, these will be available both on the website and my folksy shop (www.folksy.com/shops/clairezcardz)
I also have some Rupert Bear cards to add to my stock - just need to photograph them and then get them on both sites too.
Have just completed my first wedding stationery order for a friend so am looking forward to building on that side of the business as well so watch this space for more details.
Will be adding to my range of papercrafted gifts soon too.

Augusts Over Here's to a better September
Well August has been the most emotional month i've had for a while. With the sad loss of my Nan along with poor sales made for a very bad month for me. As well as a not very profitable craft fair at the end of the month it's now time to dust myself down and start all over in September.
I was unable to take part in the list an item a day challenge in August on Folksy.com due to all the things happening in my personal life, but I intend to take part in the September Challenge. Think its been decided that we are calling ourselves 'September Stars' so be sure to pop over to Folksy.com and check out all the wonderful talented crafts people and their wonderful wares.
As well as this i will be making sure i am organised for the craft fair that i shall be attending on the 25th September at the Masonic Hall, Linlithgow. May only be September but have already started planning and making christmas cards.

Received Today!! Mystery Parcel giveaway prize
I entered a giveaway a little while ago with Dottie Designs for a mystery parcel. Well the postie tried to deliver it on Friday but wasn't at home and he couldn't fit it through the letterbox...OH was working Saturday so had the car so couldn't go and get it.
Been to the post office this morning to collect my parcel and oh my goodness what a surprise when i opened it, the box was full of wonderful items.

So a big thank you to Dottie Designs for my wonderful Mystery Parcel.
My 11 year old daughter has been eyeing it up too, so no doubt later on she'll be creeping round my asking if she can have some.

Time to get back on track
After having a bad month or so it is now time to get myself and my business back on track. Have had my week away and very sadly laid my Nan to rest (RIP Nan - loving you always).
This is now a very crucial part of my year as it is the build up to the christmas period. And I am now getting myself geared up to make lots of handmade christmas cards and papercrafted gifts for the 4 craft fairs that i have left to do this year and also for my website and my folksy shop.
Am also looking for other outlets to possibly sell my cards in, whether that be other online mediums or if i could be lucky enough to find a couple of small shops that would be interested in displaying them. Lots of work to be done and so little time to do it.
So all i can say is look out world here comes Clairez Cardz.
You can find me at
